Have you told yourself thank you lately? If you haven’t, why not? Our bodies, your body is an extension of you and who you are as a person. We often take for granted the load our bodies carry and most times we don’t even give it a single thought. As much as we put our bodies and ourselves through, it deserves a thank you. You deserve a thank you for hanging in there with it mentally, physically and emotionally.
Lately, I have been making a conscious effort to express appreciation to the body I was born with, and I am a better person because of it. I have noticed that when I take the time to thank my body and myself for making it through a rather difficult day or tough situation, my mood is immediately transformed. I no longer feel discouraged or defeated instead, I feel energized and motivated to face another day.
My new favorite thing is to make a list of five things I want to thank myself and my body for and I encourage you to do the same. Watch how positively your body responds to your gratitude and watch how your mood is lifted. You will soon find it to be rather addicting. So from here on out, don’t let a day go by without thanking you and that wonderful body of yours for all that you do!
