Did You Remember To Smile Today?

Well? Did you? I know the world can be a bit crazy and hectic, but you can always find a reason to smile because believe it or not, smiling is good for you. For me, it doesn’t take much to make me smile. It can be a puppy outside at the park or in a yard playing. It can be the sound of a little child’s voice. It can be the sight of a beautiful plant or flower. Me simply waking up to experience another day of life makes me smile the most. What about you? What makes you smile? Take a moment to think about that and watch a smile come across your face.

We should never go a day without smiling because as it has been said many times before, there is magic in our smiles. I learned years ago that smiling tirggers our brain to release positive neurotransmitters like serotonin, endorphins and dopamine and those neurotransmitters can help our bodies to lower our stress levels, lower our heart rate and it can even help our bodies to relax. When we laugh, the benefits are even greater. So when considering all of that, who wouldn’t want to find every reason to smile?

I know that life and certain events can sometimes rob us of our ability to smile or want to smile, but don’t let it because when we find a reason to smile, it can brighten your day and someone else’s.
